# Never let your agent pay more than 1 cent a call

Agents with a wallet can overspend quietly, one call at a time. Give the agent a hard price cap when it chooses an API, and it will only consider endpoints under it.

## 1. Add Hagglyai to Claude

### In the Claude app (chat box)

1. In Claude, go to **Customize > Connectors**.
2. Click **+ Add**, then **Add custom connector**.
3. Name it **Hagglyai** and enter the server URL `https://hagglyai.com/mcp`, then click **Continue** twice.
4. Under Authentication choose **No sign in** (Hagglyai needs no account or key), then click **Add**.
5. In a chat, click **+** in the lower left, choose **Connectors** and turn **Hagglyai** on.
6. Type your question in the chat box. If Claude asks before using a Hagglyai tool, allow it.

Pro and Max add connectors themselves; Free plans can have one custom connector; on Team and Enterprise an owner adds it and members click Connect. Once added it also works in the desktop and mobile apps.

### In Claude Code (one line)

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http haggly https://hagglyai.com/mcp
```

Any other MCP client: add the server `https://hagglyai.com/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, no key). More at https://hagglyai.com/for-agents.

## 2. Ask

> Find an API to scrape a page to markdown for under 1 cent a call.

Claude calls `find_best` with:

```json
{
  "task": "scrape a page to markdown",
  "max_price_usd": 0.01
}
```

## 4. How to read it

- Every option listed costs at most the cap per call; endpoints above it are left out entirely.
- Apify actors can add platform usage on top of their listed price, and the answer says so when it applies.
- Put the cap in your agent's instructions so it sends `max_price_usd` every time.
